The Royal Albion Hotel, Old Steine, Brighton.

The North Front.
This building was constructed in 1826 on the site of Russell House, where lived Dr. Richard Russell, founder of Brighton's fame. It was designed by Amon Henry Wilds.
The shell ornamentation in the tympanam over the windows was a decorative feature much used by this architect.
