BATHING MACHINES.

The emphasis of this photograph is on the one–time very popular bathing machines. Professor Cowell's Ladies Bathing Station can be seen, immediately to the west of the West Pier, at about the turn of the century.
No men can be seen, just a few small boys represent the male sex!
