St Nicholas' Church, Brighton.

The original medieval Parish Church of Brighton,dating from the fourteenth century. It was built on the hill for safety from the inroads of the sea and attacks of the French, and was then the only building standing outside the rectangle of the old town bounded by East Street, North Street,West Street and the sea on the south.
