The Old Ship Hotel, Brighton.

This is the oldest hotel in Brighton. It was established prior to the seventeenth century and has been called the 'Old' Ship since 1650. But the only part of the Hotel that dates from before the nineteenth century is the suite of Assembly Rooms behind the main building. These were erected in 1767. This photograph shows the doorway leading from the Card-room to the Ballroom.
